I recieved my 2 maggieframe Hoops which look and feel top quality. I'm static to put them into use. Had a little issue with one of the adaptors but the prompt response and great customer service made it all worth it.

Let me tell you—this MaggieFrame Magnetic Hoop 5.1” is the Beyoncé of embroidery hoops. Elegant, powerful, and doesn’t tolerate nonsense. I used to fight with regular hoops like they owed me money. Not anymore.

Most embroiderers prefer placing the stabilizer and fabric together inside the MaggieFrame magnetic hoop for balanced tension on VIDYA machines. This method keeps the backing fully supported and minimizes shifting during stitching. However, floating the stabilizer under the lower hoop is a good alternative for bulky or hard-to-hoop materials like bags or jackets.
What types of designs is this specific frame size best suited for?
The 7.6″ × 2.7″ (195 × 70 mm) MaggieFrame embroidery magnetic hoop is ideal for small, narrow designs such as left‑chest logos, pocket patterns, sleeve embroidery, or hat sides. On VIDYA FW1501 or FW1201 machines, this frame helps produce crisp outlines and clean registration in confined spaces, enhancing precision while maintaining strong fabric grip.

The actual embroidery field on VIDYA embroidery machines is slightly smaller, about 0.6″ less on each side. My needle hit the edge of the frame. Why did this happen and how can I prevent it?
A needle strike usually occurs when the selected hoop size in the VIDYA machine setup exceeds the real sewing field of the MaggieFrame embroidery hoop or when the design itself is too large. Always choose the correct hoop size in the software, position designs properly within limits, and run a trace test before stitching to ensure clearance.
