1.Materials You Will Need:

  1. A black canvas bag
  2. Ribbon
  3. Fabric glue

2.Steps to Create Your Custom Halloween Bag:

  • Prepping the Bag:

Begin by measuring and cutting the ribbon to fit around your bag. Apply fabric glue to the ribbon and carefully place it around the bag's edges, ensuring the bag is flat. Wired ribbon is recommended for its flexibility. Press down firmly to secure the ribbon. While some might choose to embroider first, I attached the ribbon beforehand and faced no issues.

  • Setting Up for Embroidery:

Take a sheet of tearaway stabilizer and use your MaggieFrame to secure the bag. Ensure it's taut and then insert it into the machine.

  • Onboard Lettering:

To add a personal touch without digitizing, use the onboard lettering option on our MT series machine.
    • From the home screen, click on 'Menu' and then the 'ABC' icon.
    • Type your desired text. For this tutorial, we used "Trick-or-Treat."
    • Choose your font size (e.g., 25.0) and font style.
    • Import the lettering into the machine's memory.
    • Position the text on your bag. For our design, we placed it high up.

  • Adding Additional Designs:

We used two additional Halloween designs from Embroidery Library. Without repositioning the MaggieFrame, center the design below the "Trick-or-Treat" text. Use the contour trace feature to get a precise placement.

  • Embroidery:

Once everything is set, press 'Start' and let the machine work its magic!

3.The Final Product:

Voila! You now have a beautifully embroidered Halloween bag. The top text was crafted using the onboard editing feature of our MT series, perfect for adding a personalized touch during the festive season without the need for digitizing.
