FAQs

How does this magnetic frame compare to some of the 'hoopless' embroidery solutions on the market?

Unlike hoopless embroidery systems that are designed for limited applications such as caps or shoes, the MaggieFrame magnetic embroidery hoop is versatile and stable for everyday garments. It combines magnetic ease with a secure grip, making it suitable for DMP models like CT-1201 or CT-1204. This provides a reliable framing solution without risking fabric shifting during operation.

Does the size in the product title refer to the dimensions or the actual embroidery field?

The 9.5″ × 9.5″ (240 × 240 mm) in the MaggieFrame product title indicates the inner dimension of the magnetic embroidery frame. The actual stitchable area is slightly smaller, reduced by about 15 mm (0.6″). Always leave a small margin within these inner dimensions for precise and neat embroidery results on DMP embroidery machines.

When using this magnetic frame, should the stabilizer be placed inside the frame or 'floated' outside of it?

For most embroidery tasks using the MaggieFrame magnetic hoop, position the stabilizer sandwiched between the fabric layers for strong tension and clean stitching. However, for thick or delicate fabrics where hooping is difficult, floating the stabilizer beneath the lower frame works effectively. This flexibility makes MaggieFrame suitable for a variety of DMP embroidery setups.

What is the proper way to assemble and align the brackets for DMP embroidery machines?

When installing the MaggieFrame magnetic hoop onto DMP embroidery machines such as CT-1202 or CT-1206, use the included screws to attach the correct bracket pair firmly. Ensure both sides are aligned evenly with the machine’s arms to prevent vibration or offset stitches. Proper alignment maintains even tension, extending the life of the magnetic frame and ensuring high-quality embroidery results.
