FAQs

How well does this magnetic frame grip slippery fabrics like silk or nylon?

The MaggieFrame magnetic embroidery frame grips delicate or slippery materials such as silk, satin, and nylon extremely well. Its even magnetic pressure prevents fabric shifting during embroidery, minimizing puckering and slippage compared to traditional embroidery hoops. For best results, use a stabilizer as usual with your Ricoma MT or TC series machine.

For bulk logo orders requiring precise placement, how does this frame ensure consistent positioning on every item?

This magnetic embroidery hoop provides a rigid, repeatable frame alignment, ensuring identical placement of designs across garments. When used with a hooping station, the MaggieFrame magnetic embroidery frame keeps positioning stable, ideal for Ricoma multi-head setups. It helps maintain precision and saves time on bulk logo production or uniform embroidery runs.

What is the correct procedure for hooping fabric with this magnetic frame? Are there any special techniques?

Hooping with the MaggieFrame is simple: Place the bottom magnetic frame on a flat surface, position your stabilizer and fabric over it, then gently set the top frame to let the magnets snap into place. There’s no need for force or adjustment. The frame ensures even tension and protects fabric integrity on Ricoma CHT or SWD machines while minimizing hoop burns.

How can I confirm if this frame's brackets will fit my machine's arm spacing?

To confirm compatibility, measure your Ricoma embroidery machine’s arm spacing in inches or millimeters, or check your machine’s manual for the specification. Compare it with the bracket dimensions shown for this MaggieFrame 12″ × 11.5″ (305 × 295 mm) hoop. If you’re uncertain, contact support with your model number to ensure a precise fit before installation.
