FAQs

If I have computers or USB drives near my embroidery station, could the strong magnets damage my electronic data?

It’s always good practice to keep strong magnets like those in the MaggieFrame embroidery magnetic hoop away from sensitive electronics and magnetic media. Avoid placing USB drives, cards, or external hard disks directly beside your hooping area. Keep personal devices at least 50 cm (about 20 inches) away to protect stored data and avoid signal interference.

What should I do if I notice the fabric slipping slightly during the embroidery process?

Occasional fabric slipping can occur if the stabilizer used is too soft or not suitable for dense stitching. Check that you’re using a proper stabilizer for your design and fabric type. If you work with very thick or slippery textiles, applying non-slip grip tape on the hoop surface can help. Also ensure the hoop size matches your embroidery area to prevent the fabric from shifting during sewing.

The magnets on this frame are very strong. What safety precautions should I take when handling it?

When using the MaggieFrame embroidery machine hoop, always keep fingers clear of the closing area to avoid pinching injuries. Instead of pulling the top frame straight up, slide it sideways to separate the parts safely. People with pacemakers or sensitive electronics should handle magnetic hoops with caution and maintain a safe distance during operation and storage.

Will my embroidery machine automatically recognize this frame's size, or do I need to set it manually?

Like most third-party embroidery frames, your Demase machine may not auto-detect the hoop size. You’ll need to manually input the 3.9″ × 12.8″ (100 × 320 mm) dimensions in your embroidery software. This ensures the design fits precisely within the available stitch area and prevents needle collisions or misalignment during embroidery.
